Dear guests - we are happy to inform you about frequently asked questions regarding your stay with us. Please do not hesitate to contact us if you have any questions.

 

 

  • Allergy sufferers

    We cater for your individual allergies both in the restaurant and in the rooms. Please let us know when you book so that we can prepare everything for you in advance. We will be happy to prepare a lactose-free or gluten-free menu for you. For house dust allergy sufferers, we will gladly equip your beds with allergy-suffering bed linen.

     

  • Check In & Out

    Arrival: Your room will be available from 3:00 pm on the day of arrival. You are welcome to arrive as early as 12:00 pm (by prior arrangement) and make use of our wellness area; we will provide towels and bathrobes in advance. If you have booked our ‘Pampering Board’ package, the lunch buffet on the day of arrival is included.


    Departure: Please vacate your room by 11:00 am on the day of departure. Late check-out is possible by arrangement with reception and subject to a surcharge depending on occupancy. It is also possible to use the wellness area on the day of departure (including the lunch buffet) for a surcharge of €15 per person.

  • Meal times / dinner

    We serve hot meals in the restaurant daily from 12:00 to 21:30 (last orders at 20:45), along with a wonderful selection of homemade cakes and tarts. For our hotel guests on the ‘3/4 board’ package, a table is always reserved for dinner in the restaurant. We kindly ask you to arrive at our restaurant between 18:00 and 19:30.
    You are also welcome to come and dine with us if you are not a hotel guest. We ask that you reserve a table by calling 07602/94200.

  • Deposit

    The due date for payment is regulated as follows:

     

    Flexible rate:


    We ask you to pay a deposit of at least 50% of the total amount (excluding tourist tax and additional services) within 7 days by bank transfer.

    When making the transfer, please state the following reason for payment: AZ, WH, your name, your arrival date.


    As an alternative to the deposit, you may also provide us with your credit card details (number + expiry date). This will be debited in advance (13 days before your arrival) with 50% of the total price.


    The remaining payment is to be made on departure in cash, by EC card, VISA or Master Card.


     

    Non-cancellable rate:


    We ask you to pay a deposit of 100% of the total amount (excluding tourist tax and additional services) within 7 days by bank transfer.


    When making the transfer, please state the following reason for payment: AZ, WH, your name, your arrival date.


    As an alternative to the deposit, you may also provide us with your credit card details (number + expiry date). This will be charged in advance with 100 % of the total price.


     

    Bookings of several rooms


    Please transfer the total amount (excluding tourist tax and additional services) for all rooms in advance

    When transferring, please state the following reason for payment: AZ, WH, your name, your arrival date.



    Alternatively, we ask for a deposit or credit card details for each room individually. Attention here we need the data of the individual rooms first

  • Arriving with Public Transportation

    You are welcome to travel by public transport. Coming from Freiburg, please take the regional train to Kirchzarten. There, take bus line 140 in the direction of Todtnau and get off at the Notschrei stop. You will then be standing directly in front of our hotel.

  • Room Utility

    Our rooms are all equipped with a tea maker and a minibar. A wellness bag with towels and bathrobe awaits you in the wardrobe. Bath slippers can be be picked up for free at the reception.
    Small cosmetic products are available for you in the bathroom.

  • Barrier-free

    Our hotel is a barrier-free hotel, all areas can be reached by lift. Furthermore, we offer a barrier-free room with wheelchair-accessible bathroom.

  • Payment

    You can pay with cash, EC card or VISA/Master card.
    Please note that we cannot accept banknotes larger than 200€.

  • Bathrobe / Bath Towel

    Bathrobe as well as sauna and swimming pool towels are ready for you in the room. There are also plenty of towels in the bathroom.

  • Bikes / E-Bikes

    We are happy to provide our guests with electric mountain bikes and regular mountain bikes for rent. One hour (once per person) during your stay is free of charge; fees apply for longer rentals.

    Please note that lithium-ion batteries, such as those used in e-bikes or e-scooters, may not be charged in hotel rooms. 

  • Purchase and Redeem Vouchers

    You are welcome to purchase vouchers from us. You can do the voucher directly on our homepage. You are welcome to do this directly via our homepage or contact us by telephone on 07602/94200.
    If you have a voucher from us, you are welcome to redeem it with us. Please hand it in at the reception on arrival.

  • Pets

    Dogs are welcome to stay with us. Please let us know when you make your reservation if you are bringing a dog, as our number of dog rooms is limited. We charge 20€ per night for your dog without food and ask you to bring a dog basket or blanket yourself. Dogs are not allowed in the wellness area.

  • Internet

    Free W-LAN is available throughout the house.

  • Visitor's Tax

    The visitor's tax is € 3.20 per person and day(ages 16 and up). Children aged 6–15 are charged €1.30 per night. On arrival you will receive the KONUS card, which allows you to use public transport free of charge.

  • Cross-country Skiing

    In winter, several cross-country trails of varying difficulty start around the hotel and will delight every cross-country skier.

  • Parking Lot

    Free parking is available around the house. If you need a garage, you can reserve it in advance for 8 € per night.

  • Restaurant

    We offer hot meals in the restaurant daily from 12:00 PM to 9:30 PM (last order at 8:45 PM), along with a wonderful selection of homemade cakes and pastries. For our hotel guests with ¾-Board, a table is always reserved for dinner in the restaurant. We ask that you arrive at our restaurant between 6:00 PM and 7:30 PM.
    Non-hotel guests are also welcome to dine with us. We ask that you reserve a table by calling 07602/94200.

     

  • Skiing

    If you stay for two nights or more, you’ll receive a daily ski pass with over 50% off for the ski lifts at Notschrei, right next to the hotel, or for the Muggenbrunn ski area.

  • Wellness Appointments

    We recommend that you book wellness appointments in advance, as we cannot guarantee that we will still have free appointments when you enquire on site. If you have booked an offer with included treatments, we will automatically reserve appointments for you.

    Wellness appointments are booked from 3.00 pm on the day of arrival. If you are unable to arrive until later, please let us know.

  • Wellness area

    There are two wellness areas in the building:

    Our WaldSpa textile area is usually open from 7.30 am to 9.30 pm. On Tuesdays and Fridays, due to deep cleaning, it opens at 9.00 am.

    In the clothing area, you will find a panoramic indoor pool, an infrared salt cabin, a steam bath, a relaxation sauna and a relaxation room.

    Our sauna house, featuring a Finnish sauna and a herbal sauna, as well as the wellness terrace, are available to you in the clothing-required area (daily from 10.00 am – clothing optional from 6.00 pm).

     

    Our clothing-optional, adults-only BergSpa wellness area is open from 10.00 am to 7.00 pm.

    Here, in addition to several relaxation rooms, there are 2 additional saunas, a steam bath and a rooftop sky pool.

  • Bathing shoes/slippers

    If you would also like to contribute to environmental protection, we would be delighted if you bring your favorite bathing shoes from home. Of course, you can get free hotel slippers at reception on request

  • Charging points

    We have 8 charging points in our restaurant parking lot. You are welcome to charge your electric car here.

  • Gym/fitness room

    Our fitness room consists of cardio equipment such as treadmills, spinning bikes, steppers and the special Nordic fitness training station as well as a weight bench with various free weights and individual fitness equipment. You can watch entertainment on the flat screen TV if you wish.

    Please note that our fitness room will be closed from September until mid-December 2025 due to renovation work. Instead, you are welcome to use the fitness room of our partner hotel (2.5 km away) Naturparkhotel Grüner Baum free of charge.

  • Green Days

    Our Green Days take place on Mondays and Thursdays. In order to make a joint contribution to environmental protection and energy reduction, room cleaning only takes place on these days on request (please register at reception by 10 a.m.).  We say THANK YOU for your support!

  • Smoking

    Smoking is prohibited in all indoor areas of the hotel, as well as in the wellness garden and on the sauna terrace. Smokers are requested to use the smoking areas of the hotel (in front of the hotel entrance and on the restaurant terrace). 
    Smoking is also permitted on the balconies of the hotel rooms (with the balcony doors closed).

    The consumption of cannabis is prohibited on the entire hotel premises.

  • Cancellation Conditions
