A holiday at the Family Hotel Black Forest means not only relaxation but also exciting adventures for young and old alike! From now on, our younger guests can go on a great discovery tour: the forest explorer rucksack is waiting to be borrowed at our reception.

Equipped with child-friendly research equipment – including a magnifying glass, binoculars, identification books and small tasks for observing nature – every hike through the Black Forest becomes an exciting experience. Children learn about flora and fauna in a playful way, can observe forest animals and collect treasures from nature. 
 

Those who prefer to cool off at a swimming lake in summer can buy Toni's Böötle to make themselves at our family hotel in the Black Forest. Toni Wälderfuchs sets the course; he enjoys sailing on the great swimming lakes in the area or in the small mountain streams during a beautiful hike, guaranteeing a great time. 


 

Holidays with toddlers at the Family Hotel Black Forest

When going on holiday with a baby or toddler, parents have so many things to think about that it's easy to forget something important. That's why we are happy to lend you a few items at reception:

  • Baby cot – please let us know when booking whether you would like a baby cot, whether your child will be sleeping with you in your bed or whether they will be sleeping in an extra bed.
  • Toilet seat
  • Step stool for the sink
  • Bed guard
  • Changing bag with basic essentials available in the toddler room

Free admission to an amusement park and summer attraction of your choice

In addition to the wide range of family activities in and around the hotel, we also have a great special offer for your family holiday: If you book a family room (Wald-Flair Junior Suite, Cuckoo Suite, Silver Fir Suite, Tree House Suite, WaldNest Junior Suite) including half board directly with us at our family hotel in the Black Forest, you will receive great family attractions included.

Handling and conditions

When staying with our Family Hit offer with at least one child in the room, a leisure park and a summer attraction are included for you (valid from Easter to 1 November). Once per person and only for family rooms with children. In winter, ski passes for the Muggenbrunn ski area are available for the whole family for stays of 2 nights or more.

Here's how it works:
Book our Family Hit offer and decide on an excursion destination together as a family on site, pay the admission/rental fee on site and hand in the receipt at the reception desk upon your return to the hotel. We will then credit the amount to your room bill.

Please note the booking conditions that apply to some of the individual offers on their website. (Escape hike, Actionforest Titisee and Fundorena only possible with prior online booking; at Fundorena, a 60-minute activity per person is included). No cash payment possible, also not usable on the day of departure.

Families are welcome with us

We are delighted that we have now been awarded the ‘family holiday’ and ‘family restaurant’ labels until 2027. The jury once again selected us as a particularly family-friendly hotel, which we are very proud of. To receive the seal of quality, important criteria for families (e.g. family rooms, children's playrooms, outdoor games, nappy-changing facilities, etc.) must be in place to make your holiday at the Family Hotel Black Forest as pleasant as possible.  Further information on family holidays can be found here.
