Snowboarding & Skiing in the Black Forest

The wonderful thing is that there is something for everyone. From the magic carpet for little snow bunnies to black slopes & fun park for experienced skiers. In between blue, red and black slopes. And all this with absolute snow guarantee. In addition to 100 days of winter with lots of snow, the Notschrei lift slopes opposite the Waldhotel also have snow cannons for artificial snowmaking.

The Thoma Ski School offers daily ski lessons at the Wasenlift in Muggenbrunn. The Wasenlift is within walking distance of the Waldhotel. You can find more information about the ski school on the website or alternatively by sending an email directly to SkischuleWasen@thoma-sports.de. If you would like to take part in a ski lesson (not included in the price), please book in advance by email. The ski school attaches great importance to ensuring that every child is placed according to their ability and can learn effectively. Please make sure you book a ski course for the Muggenbrunn Ski Centre, as you will receive a free ski pass (for stays of 2 nights or more).
Further options are available on the Notschrei lift slopes opposite the hotel. Here, too, snow is guaranteed as far as possible thanks to artificial snowmaking and the north-facing slope. Various ski courses are also available here from the Schauinsland snow sports school (link also listed below) and there is also a magic carpet/conveyor belt directly at the hotel.

Skiing on the Feldberg just around the corner

With 33 lifts and 55km of piste, the Feldberg lift network is the alternative to the Alps in the Black Forest. The Notschreilifte and Muggenbrunnerlifte directly in front of the hotel door are also part of it. With your Liftverbund ski pass you can explore the whole ski area and with your Konus card you can use the ski bus free of charge....

For skiing enthusiasts, we offer a free ski pass for stays of 2 nights or more when booking directly with us. This pass is valid for the Muggenbrunn ski centre with 4 lifts, magic carpet, floodlit fun and plenty of skiing for the whole family throughout your stay. If you would like to book a skiing course at the ski lifts in Muggenbrunn, you are welcome to do so directly at the Thoma ski school. Day group courses and individual courses are offered (information on the various courses can be found on the homepage).
